Summary/Abstract: In the last two decades, there is an increasing interest in the connection between neuroscience and education. However, there is a gap between the declarative statements about the importance of implementation of neuroscience in education and the small number of suggested programs which actually present an implementation in practice. This study describes the development, design and the planning of implementation of a Neuroscience Teacher Based Teacher Training Program (NMTTP) for Pre-Service Teachers (PSTs) in special education track. In addition, this study presents the current literature addressing neuroeducation and curriculum, describes the gap in knowledge concerning it and focuses on the need for constructing a neuroeducational curriculum, specifically when dealing with learning disabilities. The structure of the neuroscience-based training program, its main topics and its originality are presented and discussed.
