Summary/Abstract: In 2020, a consortium of military institutions and technology enterprises from several European countries initiated a joint project for researching, designing, prototyping, and testing multipurpose unmanned ground systems. The project was set to start in 2021. Within this project, the Estonian Military Academy (EMA) took on the assignment of covering the following topics: • Using UGSs in the context of the customary law of war and applicable EU and national legislations. • Attitudes of military personnel and the general population towards the use of unmanned platforms. • Ethics of employing MUGSs in operations.
