Summary/Abstract: The present study seeks to examine the impact of the Principles of International Commercial Contracts on the representation regulations of the Romanian and Hungarian civil codes, which entered into force in 2011 and 2013, to what extent did legislators took into account the results of the Principles, and whether there are any harmonization efforts in relation to these two legal systems. The imputability of the representative’s actions is a central issue in the mechanism of representation, so the analysis necessarily covers the representation concepts of the Principles of International Commercial Contracts and the examined national legal systems.
