Summary/Abstract: Since many years, Polish non-government organizations have contributed to the social reintegration of individuals at risk of social exclusion, both due to the provision of services, environmental social activation and various individual and community-based activities. Non-government organizations represent, as an advocate, interests of the environment and, broadly speaking, interests of the civil society, especially in such specified social groups, which are under threat of being marginalized due to several reasons. They propose desirable legal solutions. They build a coalition of support for specific solutions. While appreciating the role and meaning of the impact of non-government organizations both on individuals and on whole groups being at risk of social exclusion, it is worth underlining the necessity of the implementation, in the proposed system of this peoples’ readaptation, elements of personal identity which would enable to actuate educational processes, help and integration, which are excepted from the position of self-education and self-awareness.
