Summary/Abstract: Special police tactics are a science that studies high-risk operations conducted in combating crime and maintaining public order. Crime as a social phenomenon is developing - its form are becoming more complicated (organized criminal groups), new tipes of crimes are emerging (cybercrime), the achievements of science and technology (access to modern equipment and weapons) are being used, etc. With a view to an adequate response to the evolution of crime, the science of special tactics is also evolving. The establishment of standard operating procedures for the various types of high-risk operation is essential for the preservation of the life and health of citizens.
