Summary/Abstract: This essay discusses the unpublished and unstudied church of the Transfiguration in the village of Sotera, Cyprus, located south of the Famagusta. The study focusses on the layer of the thirteenth century and offers a general view on the inscriptions in relation to the iconographic program implemented as well as an idea of the masters, contextualizing the monumet artistically, theologically and historically to the possible for a fragmentary survived decoration.
