Summary/Abstract: Over the last few decades, robotics have become an important field of technology that is rapidly evolving and without which modern production cannot be imagined today. Such development also affects the educational process, which needs to be adjusted if the society wants to move forward. Due to the attractiveness and wide availability of various robotic and automated devices and gadgets, robotics have become a subject of interest for children of different ages, as well as the subject of teaching in various school and out of-school programs and activities. Nevertheless, the complexity and multidisciplinary nature of such content and the high cognitive demands of teaching point out the problem of adequacy of approaches, strategies and methods of learning and teaching, and development and operationalization of the teaching curriculum. Therefore, this paper provides theoretical and practical starting points for organizing such teaching and curriculum development. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the importance and the position of the technology in general education and the concepts and approaches to the development of technology education in general and in particular the teaching of automatics and robotics. The second part of the paper encompasses guidelines for the development and operationalization of such curriculum in general education, and also provides a framework curriculum proposal. Although such guidelines do not address many student activities at the micro level, they make a clear starting point for the development and operationalization of the curriculum that each teacher has to adapt to their students and the environment.
