Summary/Abstract: In the Romanian legal framework, corruption offences are included in Articles 289-294 of the Romanian Criminal Code: the offence of offering a bribe, the offence of soliciting a bribe, the offence of influence trafficking and the offence of buying influence. The article presents and analyzes the main aspects of forensic tactics in conducting certain categories of searches in the case of committing crimes of corruption. Corruption offences are also regulated by the Law no. 78/2000 for the prevention, detection and sanctioning of corruption with subsequent amendments and completions. During the process of the forensic investigating of corruption offences, the competent judicial bodies may authorize all categories of searches: home searches; body searches; computer searches; vehicle searches. The article concludes that searches play an important role in the investigation of corruption offences, as they allow the identification of received or trafficked values or goods during the commission of the crimes of corruption.
