Summary/Abstract: The edification of the modern Romanian nation concomitantly with the assimilation of the new institutional forms, generated economic, social and political changes, which were initially desired (by means of the Revolution from 1848). After the year 1859, and especially after 1866, a new political culture appears and leads Romania, gradually, to reforms that are adopted in a peaceful manner.
