The principle of subsidiarity in the study of European integration

Summary/Abstract: The paper considers the subsidiarity principle through the prism of European integrations, taking into account its theoretical and institutional development. Apart from pointing out the basic principles of subsidiarity as well as the factors that have made it become increasingly present in the EU legislative procedure, the paper observes the very role of subsidiarity in the process of European integrations within different academic approaches, which are related to the complex and diverse nature of this principle.
