The linguistic image of the relations between the sexes in the literary records of Slavia Orthodoxa

Summary/Abstract: This paper reflects the writer’s work on compiling a topical dictionary of the medieval Slavic written records. The paper is devoted to vocabulary items belonging to the topical group “relations between the sexes” and includes appelations for:– matrimony and celibacy (under a vow or not); – betrothal (engagement) and marriage, polygamy, concubinage, dissolution of marriage, widowhood, illegal marriage;– sins and transgressions connected with the relations between the sexes (rape, fornication, adultery, lechery, incest, sexual perversions).
