Summary/Abstract: The paper analyzes the functioning of international units – morphemes (affixes, stems) and words (borrowings and derivatives) in texts of different styles. Their quantitative growth and qualitative changes in the filling of certain word-forming categories are revealed. The interaction of internationalisms and national units is manifested in the hybridization of lexis, their competition, semantic and stylistic differentiation of word-forming variants.
