Virtual escape rooms as a new way of promoting reading on the example of the activities of the Pedagogical Library Książnica in Kalisz

Summary/Abstract: The outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic made it necessary to look for new ways to promote reading among various social groups. Due to the introduced lockdown, libraries and librarians strengthened their activities in order to appear in the network and in the consciousness of people belonging to the netgeneration. The article presents the use of virtual escape rooms in the promotion of reading on the example of the activities of the Public Pedagogical Library in Kalisz. The use of this form of work brought many benefits both for the facility itself and for people cooperating with it. Thanks to the creation of virtual escape rooms, the library has gained one more crucial field of promotion of its activities among young people.
