Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the Bielefeld model of social work with elderly people with disabilities in Munich, Germany. The organization of social activities and the specifics of the social worker’s responsibilities are presented. The main objective of the model is to achieve a better standard of living for the individual, equality, a decent life in an accessible environment. The importance of the physical and psycho-social well-being of the client is outlined. Important requirements to the professional activity of the social worker are addressed.
