Summary/Abstract: The article contains information on the wood graining technique. It discusses the history and the difference between the various furniture craftsmanship facilities that worked using this technique. It describes the patterns used in folk graining as exemplified by Radom Village Museum and the appearance of wood graining on panelling, coffering and door frame woodwork in King John III Sobieski’s Palace at Wilanow.
