Summary/Abstract: This paper aims to provide an overview of the European legislative framework regarding the newly established European Public Prosecutor’s Office, highlighting some of the critical aspects in regard to its functioning and providing a comparative analysis of the Italian and Romanian legislation enacted to adapt the national legal system to the Council Regulation 2017/1939.
