Summary/Abstract: Mental health professionals are particularly susceptible to burnout, as the inherent challenges in dealing with high-risk clients create difficulties in attracting and retaining skilled workers. The article discusses individual, organizational and social factors in the social services system, which can be a serious risk of professional burnout. In this study, occupational stress and dissatisfaction were measured in a group of 25 helping professionals from 4 social services working with mentally disabled people.
