Increasing child welfare - theoretical approaches and practical understanding

Summary/Abstract: In the article the authors make a review of the theoretical and practical understanding of child well-being. Main emphasis is placed on the way, in which social work and the main familyoriented approaches to intervention support the enhancement of child well-being. Results of empirical sociological research among professionals are presented. They are interpreted from the point of view of the understanding and the used approaches.
