Summary/Abstract: In social work, professionals face the challenge of making quick and effective decisions, coping with crises and analyzing the behavior of their clients or their family. This article focuses on the manifestation of psychological blind spots in professional communication in social work. Blind spots are considered as a predictor of the appearance of barriers in communication. Therefore, emphasis is placed on some distortions of the communication process and the thesis that the rationalization and management of blind spots can balance communicative behavior and help establish a working relationship between the helping specialist and the user of social services.
