Summary/Abstract: This paper brings to the attention of the specialists a new archaeological site in the Bacău County – Cetăţuia Hill from the village Cetăţuia, Strugari commune. Beyond the toponym itself (which usually indicates an inhabited, naturally fortified site), Cetăţuia Hill presents several favourable factors for human habitation: location, elevation, natural protection, the presence of both freshwater and saltwater springs in the area. However, the surface research and the magnetic survey accomplished on an available part of the site did not allow a clear chronological framing of the habitation (habitations?), which could be achieved in the near future by means of small scale excavations.
