Recruitment of New Derivational Resources in the Komi Language (Based on Neologisms)

Summary/Abstract: The article describes the process of recruitment of new derivational elements in the composition of neologisms recorded in the Komi language over the past 30 years. It appears that not only traditional suffixes were activated in that process, but also the suffixoids (-)пу, (-)пас, (-)куд, (-)тас. Such new, secondary suffixes in the Komi language, which have already developed completely abstract meanings, allow the formation of dozens and dozens of new words, which clearly manifests the flexibility and great word-formation potential of the language.
