Report on the Mladá Boleslav Literární kruh and its journal

Summary/Abstract: The first part of this article briefly characterizes the status and role of young people incultural life between 1939 and 1945, presenting a summary of groups of the youngestauthors from various locations in Bohemia and Moravia. It also takes account of contactsbetween these groups in the closing years of the Second World War. The articleexamines in detail the activities of the Literární kruh of debutant authors from in andaround Mladá Boleslav and the content of the now rare mimeographed magazine Archy(Literární archy), which this group published in 1944 and 1945.
