Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on the discourse of dialectology aimed at the interpretation of the aesthetic value of dialectality. The aim of the research is to evaluate the aesthetic value of dialectality, the independence of the value and its connections with other parameters of dialectality through the analysis of the narrative of emic, i.e., an ordinary language community member. The perception and evaluation data of eight texts-stimuli representing different regiolectal expressions, which were collected in 21 regional points and three cities (Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipėda) in the course of the study of perceptual dialectology, constitute the empirical basis for the consideration of the aesthetic value of dialectality. First of all, the article creates a theoretical and methodological approach for the evaluation of the perception data. It presents etic, i.e., the researcher’s, hypotheses conceptualizing and substantiating the aesthetics of the codes of tradition. After analysing the evaluations of attractiveness of the texts-stimuli, the generalizing insights are drawn concerning the dependence of the evaluations of attractiveness on the factor of the standard language in the formation of the images of dialectality as well as the connections between the evaluations of attractiveness and the perception of the code of linguistic homeland.
