Summary/Abstract: Corruption in the security sector is difficult to detect than other sectors due to the traditionally idealistic views for each country. More difficult to detect and prove the crimes of corruption in the security sector is conditioned by the fact that elements of the security system (military, police, intelligence and security services, private security ..) basically, legally obliged to suppress all forms of crime, including corruption as the subtlest and most perfidious part. Detecting and preventing corruption is difficult because the participants of corruption offenses, civil servants and employees in the institutions of the elements of the security sector in a position to smooth their office, powers and discretion be informed hide corrupt activity. The main objective of this paper is corruption in the security sector. It is based on theoretical conceptions and practices of social life points to the most significant causes and consequences of corruption in modern society, the state, the security sector and citizens. In the end they offered elements for defining the fight against corruption in one of the most complex and the most vulnerable sectors of society.
