Summary/Abstract: The aim of the authors in this paper is that, the theoretical and practical review the Institute of informants, and to produce answers to specific concerns in relation to them, especially in light of contemporary trends in crime investigation. We analyzed the various problems related to working with informants with whom the police officers face every day. In its concluding remarks the author emphasizes the importance of informants in the fight against organized crime, and stands for much more detailed and precise legal regulations on the use of informants which would contribute to the efficient implementation of these measures by police officers.
