The Division Of labor In Society, BY Émile Durkheim

Summary/Abstract: Through this study I will try to present the crisis of the modern world starting from Émile Durkheim’s famous work „The Division of Labour in Society”. Here, one discovers that the subject is, in fact, the departure of man from morality. Thus, the paper starts with the concept of anomy, which is the real manifestation of the crisis that the modernity goes through. The second part refers to the solution that Émile Durkheim proposes in order to successfully exit the crisis: the corporation as a factor of moral cohesion. I will also try to highlight the link between the two central concepts, anomy and corporation, with the help of other concepts such as dynamic density, solidarity and specialization, division of labour.
