Summary/Abstract: The article pays tribute to Professor I.Galea, multi-faceted personality, philologist, researcher, essayist, translator and lexicographer. The themes of interest she approached, the courage of dual interpretation, the dynamic model of interpretation, the recycling of tradition through new theories and interpretations and the dismantling of the immutable character of the text ranks her among the undisputed literati of communism, a woman of open horizons with an essential contribution to the development of Romanian anglistics.
