Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study is to find out whether the decline in the number of agricultural enterprises is the reason for the decline in the rural population. For this, the dynamics of statistical indicators, their correlation, as well as the influence of indicators through factor analysis are investigated. The results of the study showed that there is a strong relationship between the decline in the rural population and the number of agricultural enterprises. The novelty of the study lies in the fact that previously the problem of the outflow of the rural population was not directly associated with a decrease in the number of agricultural enterprises.
