Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the main concepts of blockchain technology and analyses some of the related facts that have the ability to influence the global socioeconomic landscape. The present study concentrates upon real-world blockchain use-cases meant to illustrate a range of hypotheses about the fashion in which its dynamics can be utilized. The objective is to disseminate and determine the main characteristics and features of two major blockchain based technologies and analyze what might enable or impede their mass adoption. The research will focus on the utility aspects of cryptocurrencies.
