Summary/Abstract: During the archaeological excavation of Castle Mileševac, situated near the town of Prijepolje and the famous Mileševa monastery in Serbia's southwest, a collective find of weapons and military equipment was discovered in 1977. The discovered items are only partially known in literature, while notes from the field have not been published. This paper is dedicated to a small hackbut, one of the finds from the Tower 2 closed unit of the Castle Mileševac. In this case, contrary to the usual, the item is not available for detailed studying, but its archaeological and historical context make it a rare find and it is for this reason that it deserves particular attention.
