Summary/Abstract: The paper analyses the character of Frédéric Chopin in the Summer at Nohantby Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz. The internal differentiation of characteristicsintroduced in the composer’s figure produces a new type of unity. The Summerat Nohant gains the dimension of Iwaszkiewicz’s “comedy of greatness”.Interconnections between similar or related works shape the multifacetedcharacter of Chopin in the Summer at Nohant.
