Student internships – the beginning of the road to pedagogical mastery

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to discuss the issues relating to pedagogical mastery and student internships. Aspects of pedagogical mastery and the optimal conditions for organising student internships in cooperation with the institutions responsible for them were particularly analysed. The main element of this article is the answer to the question: how should student internships be organised so that they become the beginning of the path leading to the mastery of the profession by future teachers. The article concludes with remarks and proposed recommendations that can promote success in organising internships in schools, preschools and training centres for students studying pedagogy.
