Summary/Abstract: This article aims to review the main components of the Conference on the Future of Europe. Even if we are tempted to believe that this is the exercise filed by the European institutions, we will find in this article that, over time, this process of reflection has been the cornerstone of the successive changes operated to the EU Treaties. The current consultation process was initiated by Jean Claude Juncker, the former President of the European Commission. The initiative was later taken over by President-in-Office Ursula von der Leyen. Whether or not it will be a success, time will tell.
