Summary/Abstract: Forensic experts have discovered recently new techniques for identifying fingerprints. New methods may now be used to identify hidden fingerprints, digital impressions found on metals. Now fingerprints can be mathematically described by a new model. Sexual offenders can be easier identified. Analyzing fingerprints drugs and diseases antibodies could be detected. By using light sources a better fingerprinting could be obtained. Analyzing fingerprints it can be established if a suspect has been in contact with chemicals such as drugs and explosives.
