Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on the necessity to substantiate the need of integration distance learning and correspondence learning in order to a) introduce this form into the context of training linguists, b) improve distance learning for students of language universities, c) overcome the objective difficulties associated with the formation of by the bilinguals in such learning conditions. The authors showed linguodidactic potential of the distance form as applied to the correspondence learning of students - future linguists is to provide a real abundant, intensive communication process with a variety of spatially distant communication partners, including native speakers. The traditional language barrier is weakening, and free, unrestricted access to sources of knowledge about the culture of the country of the target language is provided. This article describes the method of distance education. This article examines the specifics and features of distance learning using the information technologies. Distance learning, according to the authors, provides almost unlimited opportunities for using a personal computer in teaching. In education the need for intensive implementation of the distance mode of communication between the subjects of the process is due to both socio-economic and subject-matter factors. The authors described the possibilities of distance learning of a foreign language at a university. In the course of presenting the work, the author posed and solved the issue related to the definition of the concept of both distance learning and understanding its essence and role in the conditions of teaching foreign language communication. Studying foreign languages with the help of telecommunications makes any student be resolute in solving a lot of problems.
