Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study is to reveal the mediating role of organizational socialization in the effect of organizational stress on organizational citizenship behavior. The sample of the study consisted of academicians working in universities operating in Baku and other regions. In total, more than 600 academics were reached. Out of the 394 returned questionnaires, the results of 387 questionnaires were used in the analyses. According to the results of the research, organizational stress has a negative effect on organizational socialization and organizational citizenship behavior, organizational socialization has a positive effect on organizational citizenship behavior. In the study, it was concluded that organizational socialization has a mediating role in the relationship between organizational stress and organizational citizenship behavior.
