Academic Studies Related to The Field in Private Security and Protection Vocational Schools

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study is to examine the studies of academicians working in private security and protection programs in universities in Turkey on the field of private security. The work of the teaching staff working in these departments and programs at universities has been examined at the national and international levels in terms of articles and papers. Only academic studies related to private security of 50 private security and protection program lecturers operating in 48 universities were searched on the web. Data were obtained by performing document analysis, which is a qualitative research technique. The obtained data were subjected to content analysis. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that only 13 out of 50 vocational schools conducted academic studies.
