Summary/Abstract: On 5 and 6 October 2020, the Cultural-Missionary Centre „Familia”-Pantelimon, Ilfov county, hosted the General Assembly of „Filantropia” Federation of the Romanian Patriarchate, chaired by Rev. Ciprian Ion-Ioniță, patriarchal counsellor, coordinator of the Social-Philanthropic Sector of the Romanian Patriarchate and president of the organization. Discussions were centered around the achievements and completed projects conducted across the country during the pandemic, to come to the aid of socially vulnerable persons, especially numerous families and single, low-income persons. They also addressed the opportunities for securing European funding with a view to developing palliative care services, respectively community centres providing integrated services to the elderly.
