Summary/Abstract: The borrowings and Slovak parallels in the North Lemko dialects testify to Lemko language contacts, and may be helpful in considering the possible land settlement in Poland by the Rusyns from across the Beskid Mountains. A full set of appropriate words is needed; the article presents some examples.
