Summary/Abstract: This paper is concerned with the semantic description of Slavic adjectives based on the syntactic phrase bez dna. The forms under discussion are analysed against other classes of adjectival derivatives with the negative preposition bez. The analysis of Slavic adjectives motivated by this expression leads to the conclusion that in comparative studies of morphological systems of Slavic languages, it is not only morphological meaning of derivatives, but also their metaphorical meaning that should be taken into consideration.
