Summary/Abstract: Macedonian dances identification codes can be defined on the basis of materials pertaining to the still living tradition i.e. performances from field surveys and forms to be found in ansambles, initially at "Tanec". Comparison of these materials talk about different structuring of materials (differences in spatial drawing, a change in the composition of the chain dances and style of performance, replacing the traditional with industrial instruments etc.). Identified differences are the product of changes in society, cultural policy, function and position of the dance. For the recording of changes in dance codes that are of particular importance in the formation of identity parameters is their dance recording, tracking and classification.
