Summary/Abstract: According to the specialists, the concept of „contemporary art” emerged in the twentieth century, as a reflection of new manifestations and trends in the fields of visual arts. It aims at artistic creations of relatively recent periods -as a moment of creation, exhibition and promotion. The trend for artistic creation is to set up new benchmarks based on the materials and technical means offered, creating a new function in the art-society relationship.
