Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to study some aspects of the International Maritime Law, especially the settlement of disputes by international courts and tribunals. It examines at the way these institutions address contemporary problems. The study explores the role of the courts and tribunals and their potential to contribute to global justice.
