Summary/Abstract: The research intends to examine the particular methods through which the jurist Callistratus dealt with the problems connected to maritime accidents and in particular to shipwreck, with special regard to the legal repercussions that ensued both in terms of the distribution of consequent risks and in terms of protecting and safeguarding transported goods.
