Summary/Abstract: The text “The Nationalism of Misirkov: language, ideology, sentiment” refers to the positive nationalist manifestation, classical ethnic nationalism which appears as a response to imperialist nationalism in order to encourage the political and ethnic consciousness among colonized Macedonians: the right to possess political autonomy and differentiated cultural identity without force and aggression but with political means. Revealing its relationship with the ideas of evolutionism and exposing his Macedonian theory in continuum for 25 years, Krste Misirkov represents the thesis that a self-consistency of the Macedonian nation is not somebody’s import or some ideological or political caprice but the result of historical process, vernacular, autochthonous vision, and specific by its development. With his political reflections published in 93 separate articles and devoted to the eager national, cultural and political issues, Krste Petkov Misirkov promoted itself in theorist of Macedonian separatism who left a lasting investment in national consciousness of Macedonian intellectuals.
