Summary/Abstract: With the current economic trend, every organization want to successfully implement business strategies, achieve their business objectives, optimize the use of human resources and gain competitive advantage. Knowledge management is critical for an organization to properly utilize it resources and create a sustainable competitive edge. It is against this backdrop that this paper examined the importance of Knowledge management in modern organizations. This paper relies on secondary data and utilizes the content analysis for interpretation of collected data. This paper concludes that quality efficiency and effectiveness in performance cannot happen if employees are not developed. Today organizations compete on the basis of knowledge since products and services are increasingly complex. This is why the requirement for a life-long learning has become an unavoidable reality.
