Summary/Abstract: The objet of this work is to analyze economic growth in African countries. The approach followed consists in using recent developments in econometrics of non-stationary panel data to examine the relationship between the industrial sector and economic growth for a sample of 10 African countries during the period (1995-2015), distinguished in two panels. From a theoretical point of view, economic theory confirms the importance of the contribution of the industrial sector in economic growth. The results of our empirical verifications have shown that there is indeed a positive and statistically significant effect of the level of industrialization on economic growth in these two groups of countries.
