CONCEPT AND TYPES OF CRIMINAL SANCTIONS FOR JUVENILES IN THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA

Summary/Abstract: The author deals with the concept and types of criminal sanctions against juveniles, ie juvenile perpetrators of criminal offenses who have a special status in the criminal legislation of the Republic of Serbia. The aforementioned persons have this special status in view of their age, which is filled with numerous and constant changes, their biological and psychological, or social maturation. Accordingly, within the framework of juvenile criminal law, the legislator has prescribed criminal sanctions that can be imposed on this category of perpetrators. The aim of this paper is to present the criminal sanctions that can be imposed on juvenile offenders in the Republic of Serbia as well as the conditions for their imposition.
