MACEDONIAN CULTURAL IDENTITY THROUGH FOLK NARRATIVES OF THE SACRED STONES

Summary/Abstract: The stories, legends and traditions associated with sacred stones, collected from almost all parts of Macedonia, as a spiritual heritage is indisputable evidence of the Macedonian spiritual continuity. They represent an important segment that reflects the cultural identity of the Macedonians. We are free to say that Macedonian system of values which we presented through traditions is an important factor for the integration of the Macedonian community, which undoubtedly shows the Macedonian cultural identity.
