Summary/Abstract: In this paper we want to present how social media has affected the integrity of traditional journalism, the revolution they have brought. We will also address their credibility, what it has to do with propaganda and fake news. We will bring examples in cases where social media influenced important political events in the world. In short, we will bring examples of features and similarities between SM and traditional media. An analysis of what are the advantages and disadvantages of major social media in general (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), which raises the question: Is it a modern human trend that forces us to use, or need? Would SM be so influential if we did not use photos and videos? We will try to argue the role of photography in the three main SM (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter). Our opinion on marketing through SM. Its operation and how we can attract customers. Which of SM is most used for marketing and why? The importance of the content of what we write, or decide in SM. Ultimately what is the purpose of everyone when using SM.
